Information collected automatically
When you browse our website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below). For security, our website also records the IP address of failed login attempts to our admin area.
How We Use Your Information
- To process, ship, and deliver your order, and to send you order confirmations and shipping updates.
- To answer your questions and provide customer service, including returns and exchanges.
- To process payments and help prevent fraud.
- To keep the records we need for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.
- To display product reviews and handle product registrations.
- To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.
- To protect our website, our customers, and our business from spam, abuse, and security threats.
We do not currently send marketing or newsletter emails. If we offer a newsletter in the future, we will only send it to people who choose to sign up, and every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our customer lists. We share information only with the companies that help us run our store, and only as needed for them to do their work:
- Payment processing: WooPayments (by WooCommerce), which processes card payments through Stripe, and Amazon Pay, if you choose to pay with your Amazon account. They receive the payment and order details needed to complete your purchase and to prevent fraud.
- Order fulfillment and shipping: our orders are packed and shipped through Amazon’s fulfillment service, which receives your name, shipping address, phone number, and the items in your order. Carriers receive the details needed to deliver your package.
- Website hosting and email: the companies that host our website and deliver our emails, such as order confirmations.
- Google services:
- Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our website, including which products are viewed and purchased.
- Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Google Customer Reviews: after you place an order, you may be invited to take an optional survey about your experience. If you choose to take part, Google receives your email address, order number, country, and estimated delivery date so it can send you the survey.
- Google Merchant Center receives our product information (not your personal information) so our blankets can appear in Google Shopping.
- Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, or when needed to protect our rights, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is ever sold or transferred, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Each of these companies handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
- Essential cookies that make the store work, such as remembering what is in your cart and keeping your checkout secure.
- Payment cookies set by our payment processors on the checkout page to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure visits and how our website is used.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout may not work. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep order information for as long as we need it to fulfill your order, handle returns, and meet our accounting, tax, and legal obligations. We keep messages, product registrations, and reviews for as long as they are useful for helping you or until you ask us to delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
How We Protect Your Information
Our website uses encryption (HTTPS) to protect information sent between your browser and our site, and card payments are handled by payment processors that follow industry security standards. We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to run our store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you, or give you a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate; or
- delete your personal information, except for records we must keep by law (for example, order records needed for tax purposes).
Depending on the state where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under your state’s laws. To make a request, email us at info@worthyexpressions.com. We may need to confirm your identity before responding, and we will reply within the time required by law. We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
