For a Season of Healing Prayer Blankets forHealing
Wrap someone you love in God’s promises through illness, surgery or recovery.
A reminder they are not alone
A prayer blanket for healing is a soft blanket printed with a Bible verse, given to someone who is sick, recovering from surgery or facing a long treatment. Wrapped around them in a hospital bed, at a treatment appointment or on the sofa at home, it is a warm, everyday reminder of God’s promises and of the people praying for them.
When someone we love is ill, it is hard to know what to say. A prayer blanket says it for you: I’m praying for you, and God is with you. On long days and sleepless nights, the words of Scripture are right there to read, to hold and to pray.
Every Worthy Expressions blanket is prayed and blessed over before it is sent out, and many families, small groups and churches pray over it again before they give it.
A prayer blanket is a comfort, not a medical treatment. Please keep following the care and advice of your doctors.

How to Give a Prayer Blanket for Healing
- 01
Choose a verse
Think about what they need most right now: courage, rest, peace, or simply to know they are loved.
- 02
Pray over it
Pray on your own, or ask your family, small group or church to lay hands on the blanket and pray together before it is given.
- 03
Add a note
A few handwritten words, a healing verse, and the names of the people praying make the gift personal.
- 04

What Is a Christian Prayer Blanket? Meaning, Bible Verses & Purpose
Read the Guide →What is a prayer blanket for healing?
It is a soft blanket printed with a Bible verse, given to someone who is sick, recovering from surgery or going through a long treatment. It doesn’t heal on its own: it is a warm, everyday reminder of God’s promises and of the people who are praying for them.
Which verse is best for someone who is sick?
For fear after a diagnosis or during treatment, Isaiah 41:10 (“I will strengthen you and help you”). For rest and recovery, Matthew 11:28. To speak a blessing over them, Numbers 6:24–26. For an older parent or grandparent, Isaiah 46:4. For long, lonely days, Jeremiah 31:3.
Are your blankets prayed over?
Yes. Every Worthy Expressions blanket is prayed and blessed over before it is sent out. Many families and churches also pray over the blanket themselves before giving it.
How do I pray over a prayer blanket?
Hold the blanket, read its verse aloud, and pray for the person by name: for healing, for peace, for strength for their caregivers and for wisdom for their doctors. You can do this alone, as a family, or with your small group or church.
Can I bring a prayer blanket to the hospital?
Most hospitals allow patients to keep a personal blanket, but rules vary, especially in intensive care or where infection control is strict. Check with the care team first. Our blankets are 50 × 65 inches, which fits a hospital bed or recliner.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash on a delicate cycle in cold water and tumble dry on a gentle, low-heat setting. The blankets don’t shed, and the colors don’t bleed.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders usually ship within 1–2 days. At checkout you can choose Standard (3–5 business days), Expedited (2 business days) or Priority (next business day) delivery within the United States.
